Man Utd Seal £74M Deal for Leipzig Star Benjamin Sesko! Medical Set for Friday

Manchester United have struck a blockbuster £74 million deal to sign Red Bull Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, beating rivals Newcastle United to the highly-rated Slovenian forward.

The 22-year-old striker, who has lit up the Bundesliga with 39 goals in just 87 appearances, will now head to Manchester to undergo his medical on Friday, with the official announcement expected soon.

United will pay £66.3m upfront, with the remaining £7.4m structured as performance-based add-ons. The deal makes Sesko one of the most expensive signings of the summer transfer window and showcases United's aggressive strategy to rebuild their attacking force.

🔥 Man Utd's New-Look Attack Taking Shape

Sesko isn’t the only arrival at Old Trafford this summer. United have already splashed out around £130 million on Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, creating a completely revamped forward line.

With Marcus Rashford's £325,000-per-week salary fully covered by his loan move to Barcelona, United have managed to maintain financial flexibility despite the big spending.

💰 More Outgoings: Hojlund, Garnacho, and Sancho?

In a surprising move, Rasmus Hojlund has been listed for sale at £40m after an underwhelming two seasons, netting just 14 Premier League goals.

Alejandro Garnacho, another exciting talent, could also be on his way out, with Chelsea eyeing a move. United are reportedly demanding £50m for the Argentine winger.

Meanwhile, United pocketed a £5m fee from Chelsea after the Blues backed out of the deal for Jadon Sancho, adding further funds to their war chest.

💥 Who Is Benjamin Sesko?

Often compared to Erling Haaland, Sesko is more than just hype. Standing tall, fast (clocked at 35.7 km/h), dominant in the air (best aerial success rate among Bundesliga strikers with 60+ duels), and lethal in front of goal, he's been a nightmare for defenders in Germany.

In fact, he’s currently the top under-23 goalscorer across Europe’s top five leagues since his move to Germany—one ahead of Jude Bellingham and five clear of Liverpool’s new £100m man Florian Wirtz.

Newcastle, who also failed to land Hugo Ekitike (now at Liverpool), will be left fuming as another major attacking target slips away.

Stay tuned as Manchester United’s transfer window heats up, and keep an eye on Sesko’s official unveiling — coming soon.
